Body Brushing

It's Summertime and women all over the Northern Hemisphere are on a quest to banish cellulite and patchy skin. One of the most effective methods, recently rising in popularity, is dry body brushing.

Body brushing daily improves circulation, eliminates cellulite and exfoliates the skin. Other said benefits including detoxing the skin, aiding digestion and improving muscle tone. Results are said to appear quickly, and my beauty therapist sister (thank you!) has told me to expect to see a noticeable change after 28 days. I've been doing it for about a week.

What you'll need:
A long-handled body brush with firm bristles (I got mine for about £6/$10 from QVS)

What you do:
Before showering, brush your entire dry body using long strokes towards your heart. Some experts say you should brush each part at least 7 times a day. If you brush thoroughly, it should take about 3-5 minutes daily.

What does it feel like?
I like the feeling. It might make your skin go slightly red but that's just a sign it's working! My skin feels softer even after a week, I might have to throw out my beloved St Ives apricot exfoiliator!

I'll post every so often on any progress or results from using the brush. I've also included some links at the bottom of the post for those who'd like detailed instructions.
